UCI Noella a baby born in the spirit of cycling
On September 27th, 2025, as the Women’s Road Race Championship unfolded in Kigali, one woman woke up with joy and anticipation.
Though heavily pregnant, she joined the crowd like many others — not just to watch a race, but to witness love in motion. She came to see the passion, the strength, the unity that cycling brings.
Moved by the energy and emotion of the championship, she felt something shift not just in her heart, but in her body. The contractions began.
She was rushed to Kacyiru Hospital, where she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Overwhelmed with gratitude and still carrying the spirit of the race she had just witnessed, she named her daughter Ange UCI Noella — a name that carries the grace of an angel, the legacy of cycling, and the joy of new life.
This is more than a birth story. It’s a celebration of how sport touches lives in the most unexpected ways. UCI Noella was born in a moment of unity, resilience, and love — the very essence of what cycling represents.
Let us welcome UCI Noella with joy. She came into this world already surrounded by passion, purpose, and the rhythm of wheels turning toward hope.
