Chike sparks debate with bold anti-marriage statement
Nigerian singer and songwriter Chike-Ezekpeazu Osebuka, popularly known as Chike, has set social media buzzing after revealing he has no plans to ever get married.
The Running (To You) crooner made the controversial remarks while speaking about his personal views on relationships and marriage.
“Only stupid men get married, I will never get married. In my personal opinion, I think it’s a stupid step to get married. That’s my opinion,” Chike said.
He went further to explain that marriage feels like a trap that would rob him of his freedom.
“I get that feeling that if I decide to get married, my balls will shrink and disappear. I’m not just cut out for marriage,” he added.
While some fans especially Alte baddies jokingly volunteered themselves as partners in a non-marriage arrangement, others criticized the singer for disrespecting the institution of marriage.
For Chike, however, the focus seems to be on living life on his own terms, prioritizing fun, freedom, and his music career over societal expectations.
